BPSA to host its annual delectably delicious FUNdraiser

This is a reminder about a weekend feast you don’t want to miss. It’s the annual PORK & BEEF BBQ staged by the conservation group the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen’s Association (BPSA). The fine dining is on July 13, 2019 from 4-7 pm at the BPSA clubhouse west of Wiarton.

This is our club’s largest FUNdaiser of the year. Since the sixties, BPSA volunteers have stocked millions of fish for our “put-and-take” sports fishery. But this event supports more than our fish rearing, stocking and stream rehabilitation efforts. The barbecue helps us pay for our firearms safety and firearms licensing training, youth and adult archery, tree planting and invasive species awareness programs.

This barbecue is an annual favourite for both year-round Grey-Bruce folks as well as visitors to our picturesque region.

Admission is $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids 12 and under. Admission is free for youngsters 5 and under. So kids bring your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Each admission ticket gives you a plentiful and tasty meal and every guest gets two draw tickets for a new barbecue, a new smoker and a new generator.

The 290 member BPSA is celebrating 57 years of conservation having stocked more than 4-million fish for the sports fishery since its inception in 1962. We operate the longest running volunteer community fish hatchery in Ontario. If you think you might want to help us with one of our projects or even join our conservation movement check out our newsletter on our site.
