The Chippewas of Unceded First Nation (ONUFN) is being diligent in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are making every effort to comply with the best medical advice to maintain social distance, disinfect, and wash hands frequently. As these consumables are used quickly however, they are now in need of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant cleansers, and personal protection equipment like masks and Tyvek suits.

According to sources, Cape Croker First Nation (Neyaashiinigmiing27) has now closed one road to traffic and is asking resident to isolate at home.
In addition, the Chief and Council have ordered the immediate closure of the Park. The Park will remain closed to all use, including day users, overnight campers and seasonal renters, until further notice. “This was a difficult decision for the Chief and Council and is certainly disappointing to all of us looking forward to another successful camping season. Access to cottages has also been closed.
One entrance to the main village remains open for local residents only.
The Band office is also closed but arrangements are being made with a local fishing boat to provide fish and also with the Food Bank in Wiarton.
