Dietitians across the county celebrate Nutrition Month in March and recognize the potential that food has to positively impact lives.
Food creates the power to fuel active lifestyles, enhance learning, support healing and wellness and bring people together.
Throughout March, the Grey Bruce Health Unit’s Nutrition Month campaign will promote helpful resources and tips to better understand the new food guide and the changes that have been made.
“Our campaign highlights the role of dietitians in Grey Bruce.” says Laura Needham, Public Health Dietitian. “Dietitians work with communities to promote health and wellness through food. We have a passion for food, nutrition and to inspire everyone to unlock food’s potential in their lives.”
Community members are encouraged to join the conversation with Public Health through Facebook and Twitter. To learn more about how you can host Nutrition Month activities, visit the Public Health website or contact the local public health dietitian.
