Continue to do your part says local MPP

Thank you to everyone who is working the front lines, supporting our businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and charities, as we continue to be challenged by Covid-19. Thank you as well to everyone for adhering to social distancing and doing your part to contain the spread of this virus.

As was shown in the COVID-19 modelling that was recently released by our Government, the enhanced public health measures including staying home and physical distancing are working to contain the spread of this virus and flatten the curve. However, the Chief Medical Officer of Health has said that emergency measures must remain in place to continue reducing the number of cases and deaths across the province. There is light at the end of the tunnel but we must remain diligent and continue heed the advice of public health officials.
I am proud of everyone who is sacrificing and following the directives of the Medical Officer of Health, and want to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Arra and his team at the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit for their guidance, support and leadership.
Please continue to do your part. Please restrict travel except for absolutely necessary trips (medical, grocery, essential work), wash your hands continuously, observe social distancing, and assist our seniors, where possible. Please support our essential businesses that have adapted to provide service during these trying times. A couple of links to help you source business locally: Bruce CountyGrey County and Owen Sound.
