Another Legion Branch 130 has stepped up in support of the volunteer-drive Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce.
Hanover Legion recently presented a donation of $500 to the organization that receives little to no government funding.
“We’ve had the support of many of the local Legions who understand and appreciate the efforts of our Crime Stoppers volunteers,” says Better Bender, past-Chair of the Crime Stoppers Board. “Without donations like this and fundraising, Crime Stoppers cannot survive. We receive very little compensation for helping to keep our communities safe. All the monies paid out on tips are, in fact, raised through fundraising by the volunteers.”
