Meet Miss Kitty.
She’s an 11-year-old mix of short and long-haired Chihuahua.
She likes short walks, and car rides and is comfortable around wheel-chairs. She is good with small dogs but will chase cats and will challenge larger dogs and is not recommended for households with children.
Kitty is crate-trained, likes small cozy spaces and she is comfortable left for periods of time. However, she is not fully house-trained and needs frequent walks. She will however use pee-pads.
Like most dogs, she does her job and barks when people come to the door but, other than that, she is pretty quiet. This old girl is looking for a quiet place to spend her twilight years. She is spayed and vaccinations are up-to-date. If interested in an appointment to meet Kitty, please call the shelter at 519-372-1911.
Note: at this point we are only making appointments with people from within Grey-Bruce.

The Shelter offers a safe place for pets that have no choices left. “Sometimes, their owners have had no choice either. They, too, may have aged and had to move into a facility where their loved companions are not allowed or, in the final step of life, may have died leaving their pets behind. Whatever the reason, these faithful friends have no choice but to wait … wait for someone new to take them in and love them,” says Shelter Manager, Deb Takeda.
