Pet of the Week: an active loving girl looking for an active family

Grey Bruce Shelter offers a safe place for pets that have no choices left.
“Sometimes, their owners have had no choice either. They, too, may have aged and had to move into a facility where their loved companions are not allowed or, in the final step of life, may have died leaving their pets behind,” says Shelter Manager, Deb Takeda.  “Whatever the reason, these faithful friends have no choice but to wait … wait for someone new to take them in and love them.”

Lyla is a six-year-old female terrier-mastiff cross.  In spite of being part mastiff, she is only about 30 kg, so a medium sized dog.

She loves everyone, is good with kids, cats and most other dogs.  She does have some separation anxiety so needs to be in a home where someone is around a good deal of the time.

She is an active girl so will need an active family.  Lyla still needs to be vetted and spayed but then will be available for adoption.

Call the shelter at 519-372-1911 to make an appointment to meet Lyla.
