This week, there are two Pets of the Week … one feline and one canine but both handsome fellows.
First, is Moe – a handsome fellow. He is a very nice male approximately 7-8 months old.
Moe arrived with three brothers, two of which have already found a home together. Unfortunately, Moe did not join them. He is vaccinated & neutered with a beautiful black & white tuxedo coat.
Next, is Bruce. When Bruce arrived at the Shelter, it was discovered that he had some behavioural problems and was fostered out for some remedial training but it’s a promising story….
He is a one and a half year old German Shepherd. Although the Shelter does do not have his entire history and background, when Bruce arrived he was found to have some nervous reactive tendencies toward aggression (yellow zone). “We found that he was good with people he trusted though and he is young, intelligent and eager to learn,” says Shelter Manager Deb Takeda. “As a result of some generous donations, we were able to send Bruce for some training and socialization in a home environment and has been doing amazing with his training, is ready to start looking for his new home and is now available for adoption.
We are opening appointments for him on a limited basis for those that meet Bruce’s requirements. Breed experience is an asset. Any other questions about Bruce or any other of our residents, please call the shelter. Visits are by appointment only. Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911.
