Police looking for owners of retrieved stolen property in Dundalk

On October 3, 2021 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious person in Dundalk.

A male was arrested, and several items that are believed to be stolen in the Town of Dundalk were recovered.

As a result of the investigation, the Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged a 38 year-of-age male from Mississauga, with the following offences:

·        Trespassing at night
·        Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
·        Two counts of failure to comply with a release order
·        Two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
·        Possession of a Schedule 1 substance.

The accused was released and must attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 18, 2021.

Police are attempting to find the owners of the property, and are requesting that members of the public who believe they are victims of these thefts, call the Grey Bruce OPP and speak to investigating officers at 1-888-310-1122.
