Motor Vehicle Collisions

West Grey Police Service investigated seven motor vehicle collisions this week.  Five involved deer in the roadway, one involved a dog in the roadway and one occurred on private property.

Break and Enter

On November 18, 2019 West Grey Police were alerted to an overnight break and enter at the Bentinck Township sheds.  An attempt was made to access the fuel pumps without success. There are no suspects at this time.


Police were called twice in one day to the same address for a family dispute.  Investigation resulted in charges of Mischief under $5000 against a resident of the address.  Conditions were imposed and a court date was set.


West Grey Police advised after the fact of two trespassing incidents this week.  Suspects have not been identified but police would like to remind hunters, snowmobilers and others to respect signs posted by residents prohibited trespassing on private property.
