Bruce Power and its supplier partners have donated $100,000 to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada to mark Brain Tumour Awareness Week.
The donation will support the foundation’s efforts to provide children and families affected by brain tumours with meaningful support, resources and opportunities to connect with others facing similar challenges, while also contributing to important research aimed at improving outcomes for people affected by brain tumours.

“Bruce Power is proud to support the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and the important work it does for patients and families facing a brain tumour diagnosis,” said Maggie Tieman, Director, Community and External Affairs, Bruce Power. “Through our production of cancer-fighting medical isotopes, we recognize the importance of supporting organizations that advance research and provide patients and families with resources and support they need.” “We are incredibly grateful to Bruce Power and its supplier partners for their generous $100,000 donation and their commitment to making a difference in the lives of Canadians affected by brain tumours,” said Nicole Farrell, Chief Executive Officer, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. “A brain tumour diagnosis can change a family’s life in an instant, and no one should face that journey alone. This meaningful investment will help us provide vital support, information and resources to patients and families, while advancing research that brings us closer to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.”
