Bruce Power has once again been named among Canada’s Best Employers by Forbes, an award based on an independent survey of more than 12,000 Canadian employees.
The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employee evaluations also included other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively. Furthermore, participants were asked to give their opinion on a series of work-related topics such as working conditions, salary, potential for development, and company image regarding their current employer.
Cathy Sprague, Bruce Power’s Executive Vice-President, Human Resources, said she’s pleased the company’s employees provide such positive feedback in the yearly independent survey.
“As a company, we invest in our employees by offering comprehensive training, mentoring and support programs to help people flourish in their careers,” Sprague said. “Our employees are proud of the work they do and the role we play in the clean-energy future for Ontario and in supplying the global medical community with cancer-fighting medical isotopes.
“We are making a long-term investment in our nuclear fleet through our Life-Extension Program, and providing employment and career opportunities in an exciting industry for decades to come.”
In collaboration with analytics firm Statista, Forbes selected Canada’s Best Employers 2023 based on an independent survey of more than 12,000 Canadian employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their Canadian operations.
