Chantry Island Cham-bettes of Saugeen Shores is a group of women in the community that holds fundraisers throughout the year and that gives all funds raised back to the community.
On February 21st (2019), the group presented a donation of $3,000 to the Women’s Centre Grey & Bruce in Owen Sound. The funds will go toward the ‘Adopt-a-Room’ campaign that will purchase a family bedroom suite for a room.
Women’s House Executive Director Heather Fowler also gave the Cham-bettes a tour of the shelter where they were able to see before and after room renovations.
