Clean Energy Frontier program wins two awards from Economic Developers Association of Canada

As economic development professionals returned home from last week’s 2022 Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) Conference, the Clean Energy Frontier brought two Marketing Canada Awards back to Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.

Jessica Linthorne, Director of the Clean Energy Frontier program at the Nuclear Innovation Institute, holds two Marketing Canada Awards from the Economic Developers Association of Canada

The Clean Energy Frontier program, a public/private partnership between Bruce County and Bruce Power—and hosted at the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII)—won in two categories:

  • The Single Publication (less than five pages) award for the Economic Impact of Clean Energy report
  • The Event award for last fall’s Clean Energy Innovation and Recovery Summit

Jessica Linthorne, Director of the Clean Energy Frontier program, describes the importance of these now award-winning pieces: “The public-facing report publication and our Summit have helped us increase awareness of the nuclear industry’s contribution to our region—supporting economic development initiatives across Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.”

Recognizing that marketing a community is an integral part of the economic development profession, EDAC’s awards program is open to organizations that undertake to promote and market this country’s regions with a view to improving the economic well being of Canadians.
