Have you ever seen a levitating ice cube? Or mixed your own homemade bouncy ball?

“Last year’s March Break camp was such a hit we just had to do it again,” said Phillip Craig, Director of the NII Explore program. “We love watching kids get so excited when an experiment works and they learn something new about the world. The energy and enthusiasm the kids bring to the program is always the highlight!”

Children and parents can tune in to BCPL’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/BruceCountyPublicLibrary) each morning from Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 18 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

“The Library is thrilled to partner with NII Explore once again to offer live-streamed science experiments during March Break. We encourage children and families to tune in, then visit their local library branch to discover more science resources and activities,” said Nancy Kuhl, Program Coordinator at the Bruce County Public Library (BCPL).

“Bruce Power jumped at the opportunity to be a presenting partner of the Science at Home March Break program,” said Dwight Irwin, Bruce Power’s Manager of Community & Media Relations. “NII Explore’s events introduce the fun side of science and encourage youth to be inquisitive about their surroundings, which is key to them someday becoming leaders in STEM.”

No need to pre-register for these events, but those interested can subscribe to BCPL’s YouTube channel where they will be notified when the sessions go live each day.
