Tragedy has once again hit close to home.
Many are familiar with South-Port Mechanical-Geothermal Inc. immediately south of Port Elgin.
In the early hours of October 30th, 2018, a fire destroyed the home of Nyk Kimball, Nicole Renouf, Jared Kimball and Cassie Renouf in Oilphant, Ontario. Nyk is a long time loyal employee; Cassie, a recent employee with South-Port and Jared, who did his school co-op with South-Port, while Nicole has been involved within our family here at South-Port.
They have lost their home, all their possessions and their cherished two dogs.
Jared and Nicole have been air-transported to London, Jared with life threatening injuries. Nicole is stable but in serious condition, both suffering from 3rd degree burns. Nyk was treated for smoke inhalation and released. Cassie was in another building on the property and sustained no injuries.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help this family during this devastating time. They had NO insurance and they will be incurring insurmountable costs while in London.
