Nuclear industry job fair exceeds expectations

Those looking for possible employment in the nuclear industry came from far and wide, resumes in hand, to the first major Nuclear Job Fair in Saugeen Shores organized by ONCI (Ontario Canadian Nuclear Industries).

Some 30 companies that are suppliers to Bruce Power were on-site at the Saugeen Golf Course on Thursday (Oct.4) as approximately 1,000 job seekers had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with various company recruiters.  High School students from across the region were also bused in as there were also various colleges and universities represented.

“This is completely beyond our expectations,” said organizer Alison Fernandes, “both from the number of suppliers and the people who came out for it.”
