OSHaRE and Safe ‘N Sound are delighted to announce their selection as the 2025 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie charity recipients for Owen Sound. From April 28 to May 4, 100% of proceeds from every Smile Cookie sold at Tim Hortons locations in Owen Sound will directly support the essential services provided by both organizations. “We are grateful to Tim Hortons and our community for this opportunity,” said Wren Fitzakerley, Fundraising & Communications Manager at Safe ‘N Sound. “Funds raised will help us continue to provide critical support to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Owen Sound.”
The annual Smile Cookie campaign features Tim Hortons’ yummy chocolate chunk cookies, hand-decorated with pink and blue icing smiles, available for $2 each. New this year, Smile Cookie plushies will also be available for $5, with $2 from each plushie supporting OSHaRE and Safe ‘N Sound. “We are so thankful for the staff and management at Tim Hortons,” said Colleen Trask Seaman, Executive Director at OSHaRE. “Their commitment to supporting the community is steadfast and incredibly generous.”
Safe ‘N Sound operates a drop-in centre and provides daily support, housing support, advocacy, and other vital services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Owen Sound. OSHaRE provides community meals, family meal assistance, school lunches and Supportive Outreach Service (SOS) meals. Together, these organizations are committed to building a more inclusive, supportive, and stable community.
