In the month of January 2024 alone, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police charged 10 drivers with stunt driving on Grey Bruce Roads.
- On January 2, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 95 km/hr in a 50 km/hr on Grey Road 4 in Grey Highlands. A 35-year-old from West Grey was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 2, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 100 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula. A 22-year-old from Scarborough was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 2, 2204, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 146 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Berford Street in South Bruce Peninsula. A 21-year-old from Brampton was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 4, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 142 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula. A 21-year-old from Brampton was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 9, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 142 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Highway 21 in South Bruce Peninsula. A 41-year-old from Saugeen Shores was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 11, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 92 km/hr in a 50 km/hr community safety zone on Grey Road 4 in Grey Highlands. A 43-year-old from Brampton was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 21, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 158 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Highway 6 in Northern Bruce Peninsula. A 22-year-old from Scarborough was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 25, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 102 km/hr in a 50 km/hr Community Safety Zone on Grey Road 13 in Grey Highlands. A 30-year-old from Burlington was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 28, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 117 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone on Grey Road 17B in Georgian Bluffs. A 21-year-old from Owen Sound was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
- On January 29, 2024, the Grey Bruce OPP observed a motor vehicle travelling 97km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone on Highway 6&10 in Chatsworth Township. A 59-year-old from Saugeen Shores was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed.
All 10 drivers had their vehicle impounded for 14 days and their drivers’ licencea suspended for 30 days. From January 1, 2023 – January 31, 2023, seven drivers were stopped for stunt driving and charged accordingly.
