Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) is following the direction announced today (Apr. 15) by the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit asking that everyone in Grey-Bruce stay at home for the next 48 hours.
The directive was issued by Dr. Ian Arra, Medical Officer of Health, due to a spike of more than 70 new cases in Grey-Bruce of COVID-19 (and VOCs) in the past 36-hour period.
As a result, SVCA has closed all public spaces, including forests, properties and trails to help limit the movement of people in the community.
The measure has been taken to help Grey Bruce Public Health as it tries to manage contact tracing for the recent surge of local cases.
SVCA properties are closed until Saturday, April 17th or until further notice.
