SVCA seeks public input through survey

From Monday, June 27th (2022) to Friday, July 22nd, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) has a survey open to the public to provide feedback regarding their experiences with SVCA and what actions and/or environmental causes they would like to see SVCA support.

This survey is open to all people who own property in the Saugeen Conservation watershed, and includes properties in Bruce, Grey, Huron, Wellington, and Dufferin Counties. Informed decision making starts with consultation.

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is currently engaged in strategic planning, to prioritize and effectively allocate resources, and keep the organization on track with its mandate and goals.

SVCA’s mandate is to undertake watershed-based programs to protect people and property from flooding, and other natural hazards, and to conserve natural resources for economic, social, and environmental benefits.

The survey will close Friday, July 22nd, 2022.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SVCAPublic

Consultation is being performed internally, as well as externally to members of the agricultural community, developers, realtors, and municipal leadership.

Any individual representing one of these groups is encouraged to reach out to receive information about how to participate. For those unsure if their property falls within the Saugeen Conservation watershed, please visit the Saugeen Conservation website and view property mapping. https://www.saugeenconservation.ca/plan.
