This year, 2021, the Canadian icon the Bluenose is celebrating her 100th anniversary and with it recognition of her Captain, Angus Walters and, on May 13th, a video was launched in celebration.
Historica Canada has created a documentary telling of Walters and his legacy as told by his son, grandson and historical experts.
The amazing and touching documentary features authentic film and photos of the Bluenose, Walters, his family and his famous racing skills interspersed with re-enactments (shot at the Royal Ontario Museum [ROM]) of Captain Walters.
This is not a documentary for only those who understand sailing, it is a recognition of Captain Angus Walters and his Bluenose – true Canadian heroes.
