A traffic stop in the Municipality of Chatsworth resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and four firearms. Three individuals have been charged.

An investigation initiated by members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) led investigators to suspects that were operating throughout southern Ontario.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, a traffic stop was conducted on Highway 10 in Chatsworth which resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of suspected fentanyl, suspected cocaine, bulk currency, and four firearms.
The estimated potential street value of the suspected controlled substances is over $500,000, and the seized property value being over $25,000.
A 32-year-old from Durham, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
- Possession of a Firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm – two counts
He was also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
A 33-year-old from Christian Island First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm – two counts
He was also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
A 30-year-old from Owen Sound, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm – two counts
He was also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
The three accused were arrested and held for bail hearings.
Officers from the Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU, Wellington County OPP CSCU and Grey Bruce OPP Detachment assisted with the investigation.
