Veterans understand and appreciate work done by Crime Stoppers volunteers

Once again, another Royal Canadian Legion has stepped up to give a helping hand to the volunteer-driven organization, Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce. Kincardine Legion Branch 183 recently donated $500 to Crime Stoppers and former Chair, Betty Bender, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Legion.

“It’s wonderful to see how our Veterans at various legion branches understand and appreciate the work that is done by our volunteers and our organization,” says Bender. “I’ve said it many times but without this kind of support there would be no Crime Stoppers as we receive little to no government funding in our efforts to fight crime on the streets of our communities.  So we really appreciate the Legion branches that have stepped forward lately to assist us.”
