On October 20, 2024, at 9:01 a.m., the Grey Bruce OPP responded to an address in Georgian Bluffs and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.
As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.
A 27-year-old from the Municipality of Georgian Bluffs was charged with:
· Sexual assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate, strangle (two counts)
· Mischief – domestic
· Assault with a weapon – spousal
· Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal
· Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim.
