Finally, after two postponements, the Mission Zimbabwe Drive through/Take-out Roast Beef Supper is going to happen on Saturday, June 12th.
Suppers can be picked up between 5:00 and 6:30 pm. In order to follow Covid19 guidelines, the supper will be take-out with no one having to even leave their cars for pick up.
The supper will feature roast beef, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, cole slaw, a dinner role, and a Mission Zimbabwe butter tart for dessert.
By June 12th , our community will have been locked down for a very long time, so this can be a great opportunity to reach out to family, friends and neighbours and to deliver to them a special supper and at the same time support the children in Zimbabwe.
We want to thank all those who have already purchased tickets for the supper and hope that you will be able to still enjoy our supper in June. This has been a challenging time for all charities due to the Covid 19 restrictions. Even so, Mission Zimbabwe has been blessed by the compassion and generosity of our local community during this time and this continued support has allowed Mission Zimbabwe to provide food relief to families in the Village of Hope community, to continue to provide support for the education of the children and to support the start-up of a new pre-school in a local community where children have no access to education. All proceeds from the supper will go to support the children at the Village of Hope and Vimbainesu Children’s Home in Zimbabwe.
