Frederick Lloyd

Frederick Lloyd was born December 18, 1923 in Ty Bach, Wales (U.K.) and was married to Barbara May Linsdell (d. 2004).

Fred served in the British Army from 1941 to 1947 and was stationed for five years in Italy, where he developed a love of the Italian language and opera.

He became a minister in 1952 in the Congregational Church of England. and, in 1964, immigrated to Canada with his family.  He served with the United Church of Canada, living in Prince Edward Island and Ontario.

A theologian, historian and philosopher, Fred loved an intellectual challenge.

He lived by faith and died with hope.

Grandfather to David, Uncle to Robert Evans, Llanishen, Wales.  Predeceased by sister, Margaret Davies, Cardiff, Wales. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Dr., London, Ontario on Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Visitation at 10 a.m.  Service, with Interment, at 11 a.m. Donations can be made to the United Church Mission and Service Fund. https://www.united-church.ca/donate
