Freedom Rally held in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) over vaccine passports

Approximately 400 people gathered on Sunday, September 26th, at Coulter Parkette in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) to express their concerns over the Vaccination Passport regulation and mandated vaccines for children.  It was one of many rallies held, including one in Owen Sound earlier in the week.

People began to gather for what was called a                                             Freedom Rally

Organized by a young mother, Nicole Steele, the gathering was considered a ‘Freedom Rally’.  “This is not a protest.  It is an opportunity to hear concerns about the passport regulation and the affect of the vaccine mandate on our children.”

Several guest speakers participated in the event, including Ann Marie Fosbrooke (Peoples Party of Canada, PPC) candidate Bruce-Grey Owen Sound; lawyer Bruce Rosenburg; Dr. Rochagne Killian; Krista John of Saugeen First Nation and former Kincardine Mayor, Larry Kraemer.

Dr. Killian stressed the importance of turning off all electrical devices one day a week and committing time to family. “It is easy to be overwhelmed with on-going information through technology … it is almost a mind-control.”

Saugeen First Nation’s Krista John compared the early Indigenous PASS permit system, that lead to residential schools, to the Vaccine Passport system being introduced today, and former Kincardine Mayor, Larry Kraemer, pointed out several health legalities under the Canadian Constitution.

In addition to guest speakers, several personal testimonials were given during the two-hour rally. “This is not about anti-vaccines,” said one woman who asked to remain anonymous.  “I am fully vaccinated, but this is about requiring a vaccine passport that is dividing everybody.  Everyone should have a choice over what is put into their body.  Although I’m fully vaccinated, I have family members who aren’t and, that’s their choice!  But to tell them they can’t even go in to a restaurant for a sandwich?  That’s wrong!
