oanne Robbins has announced her resignation from her position as General Manager of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce.
She has however, accepted the role of Pumpkinfest Coordinator. Pumpkinfest will soon no longer operate under the Chamber of Commerce umbrella of events. Joanne will remain in her role at the Chamber until July 1 and will begin to transition into her new role within Pumpkinfest.
Her experience and history with this event will be invaluable to the future success of Pumpkinfest as she works alongside the long-standing Pumpkinfest committee with some transitional support from the Chamber.
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors would like to acknowledge her many years of service to the Chamber and her commitment to the members and the community as a whole.

Our mission is to harness the ideas of the business community to effect positive change and growth, and promote tourism in Saugeen Shores” said Kate Cammidge-Irwin, President of the Board of Directors.
Brad Scott, Chairperson of Pumpkinfest added, “On behalf of the Pumpkinfest Committee, we wish to thank the Chamber of Commerce for its years of support and their ongoing support during this transition will be key to our success. We are extremely excited for the new opportunities that will arise from these changes and look forward to having Joanne be our new full time co-ordinator.”
Please join the Board of Directors and Chamber staff at an open house to celebrate and recognize Joanne’s years of service at the Chamber. It will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018, between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
